Seriously?!?!

06Jan09

No word of a lie this happens at least 3 times a week.

Lady – “Hi there. I was wondering if you could help me find ink for my printer?”

Me – “Sure. do you know what the model of your printer is?”

Lady – “No. But I bought it here.”

Me – “Ok…do you know the number of the ink cartridge that you need?”

Lady – “No. But I bought it here in July or August. So are you going to help me?”

Me – “Well I could make a guess at which ink you need, but I would probably send you home with the wrong one.”

Lady – “Fine! I’ll just go somewhere else!”

Today I learned that I am apparently either physic or can tell what you need just from the sound of your voice.

Hey there 2009! Looking good!

So I am not exactly sure what my deal is. Growing up I never played hockey, in fact I played baseball for many years. I don’t even really follow the NHL that closely, although I am a Montreal and always have been. But anytime that Canada plays hockey I go friggin crazy.

I don’t know if any of you have been following the World Junior’s at all, and if you have you know that it has been quite a tournament. I even got to go see Canada destroy Kazakhstan 15-0 (thanks Phil), and I just got done watching a great game between Canada and Russia. I am pretty sure the entire time I was tensing every muscle in my body because I am tired.

What I am trying to say is that I don’t understand why I have this connection to Canadian hockey. Maybe it really is something that is born into you, maybe it’s just pride, but the one thing that I know for sure, I know what I am doing Monday night and thats watching Canada go for a fifth straight Gold!!!

In other news, Macworld starts on Tuesday and even without “El Jobso” being there I think there should be some really cool things that come out of it. My parents and brother also just left from visiting me and that was great and in a short time I will be down in NY to see my sister. Although it’s just begun, 2009 is sure keeping me busy!

So I managed to survive Boxing Day. I have to say that it wasn’t too bad on the hour of sleep that I got, but I am glad that 12 hour shifts only come once a year.

In other news, I think some one likes Brad Pitt a little too much. See here. I hope that he at least got some Juju Fruit for the “big house”.

I know that it’s a few days late but here is a gift that you are absolutely going to love. I installed the trial on my iMac last night, and I had to buy it. I simply could not go back to listening to music without it. I haven’t put in on my laptop yet, but apparently it makes the speakers sound so much better on those as well. Trust me you will love it.

Well with that I am out, probably for a few days as the family is on there way here around New Year’s or so. So have a great last few days of 2008, and make sure to ring in 2009 with Rick Astley.

And I am starting to think I would rather Boxing Day be a literal day, as I would much prefer to box (fight) a kangaroo or something then go to work in about 4 hours. Yeah that’s right I go to work in 4 hours, for 12 hours. Yay capitalism.

On another note I had a great Christmas, and it will be good to see that family when they arrive in about a week or so. I hope that you are enjoying your holidays and that Santa brought you everything that you deserved.

Oh and if I see anyone I know at my place of employment tomorrow, I will literally box you. And that’s me being Pirate Serious.

I was thinking about buying a Moleskin.

Pirates are a real and SERIOUS threat.

Mr. Potato Head is under-rated.

My Mac crashed the other day.

John Mayer still has it.

I have no idea what I am doing. That’s more metaphoric then anything. I am actually sitting in a Starbucks, (Beckwith is chuckling right now, I can hear it), wondering why the frig they don’t have wireless internet like every other Starbucks that I have been too. I thought it was a law for them to have it or something.

So I am “blogging” inside of Pages right now and will be posting it online when I get home. That kind of sucks cause the whole reason that I came out was to do some productive stuff that required the internet, but alas here I am without it.

I reached a point today, maybe an epiphany, except more on the negative side so I am not sure if epiphany is the right term. There are so many things that I need to change in my life, things that I can improve on, things that I need to excel at, but yet I fall short. I guess typically this is the time of year where most people begin to reflect on things and start making New Year’s Resolutions, but I am starting now. Screw January.

To be honest, I have no idea what I am talking about looks like, being different that is. Maybe I will shave my head, maybe I will go to bed before midnight…who knows. The only thing that I know for sure, is that something, anything has to be different. Something must change, and this is the start. And ironically, it is in Starbucks, the place where I made fun of people for going to do what I am doing.

Maybe I am becoming my own worst enemy, but maybe that’s a good thing.
