No word of a lie this happens at least 3 times a week.
Lady – “Hi there. I was wondering if you could help me find ink for my printer?”
Me – “Sure. do you know what the model of your printer is?”
Lady – “No. But I bought it here.”
Me – “Ok…do you know the number of the ink cartridge that you need?”
Lady – “No. But I bought it here in July or August. So are you going to help me?”
Me – “Well I could make a guess at which ink you need, but I would probably send you home with the wrong one.”
Lady – “Fine! I’ll just go somewhere else!”
Today I learned that I am apparently either physic or can tell what you need just from the sound of your voice.

Is it always a lady? I don’t mean to be a traitor to my sex but people get pigeon holed for a reason… I could easily see this situation being a lady 4/5 times. Ladies tend to be the people who test my patience the most at my work.

This happens all the time in my ink and toner store. People just need to be more prepared when shopping for ink! We cannot just guess and tell them what they need not knowing the right information. People need to understand that we do want to help them but they need to be prepared and NOT expect others to do everything for them.

yeah, I know what you mean… I got a call once that goes like this. ya know that Video terminal you sold me 6 months ago? I want another one just like it. so, what model was it? I asked politely. You should know, you sold it to me was the answer. Sir I get 50 calls a day, that was 3000 calls ago, I am sorry that I do not remember your order, can you help me?
